Augustine is a Principal and Vice President
of Corporate Services for Atwell-Hicks,
a national land development consulting firm
based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Augustine leads
business development, marketing, human resources,
office operations and information technology
for the firm. He is an expert on the development
of people strategies and culture marketing and
is a champion for executive development through
Atwell-Hicks University. He is a member of the
firm’s Strategic Planning Committee focused
on geographic expansion efforts, merger and
acquisition integration and the implementation
of global strategic marketing initiatives.
Prior to joining Atwell-Hicks, he was the Founder
and Co-Owner of The Herman Draack Company, an
international human resource consulting firm
specializing in executive recruitment, project
outsourcing and human resource strategy implementation
with offices in Chicago, San Francisco and Washington
D.C. His professional experience also includes
serving as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing
and Human Resources for Unitech Systems, an
international software company headquartered
in Chicago.
Augustine earned a MBA from the Kellogg School
of Management at Northwestern University and
Bachelor degrees in marketing and speech communications
from Kent State University. He also served as
a professor at Illinois Institute of Technology’s
Stuart School of Management teaching strategic
marketing for the MBA Program.
His seminars and book have been featured nationally
on ABC and NBC and reviewed in
USA Today, Wall Street Journal,
LA Times, The Chicago Tribune,
and The National Association for Campus Activities.
He has made numerous radio and television appearances
and has presented to over 300 organizations
throughout the United States. He also writes
a monthly column for Inc. Magazine and
Fast Company focusing on topics pertaining
to the people strategies of successful organizations.
Active in professional organizations and within
the community, Augustine is a member of the
Society for Human Resource Management, National
Association of Campus Activities, Toastmasters
International, and the Greater Detroit Chamber
of Commerce. He also serves on the board of
directors for Chicago’s Open Heart Magic,
a non-profit organization that provides interactive
bedside magic to children in hospitals. Augustine
is a mentor for College Bound, a volunteer organization
that provides scholarships, mentoring, and tutoring
for Chicago-area high school students.
Augustine proudly served in the United States
Air Force National Guard. He lives in the Ann
Arbor area with his wife and three children.
